Rising Creek Topo Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026

Rising Creek Topo is an iPhone app from Rising Creek Construction LLC, a Texas company ("we", "us"). It scans a site, a room or a utility trench with the phone's camera and LiDAR sensor and sends the scan to us so we can build a 3D model. This page says what the app collects and what we do with it.

What the app collects

Live view

If someone from Rising Creek sends you a live view link on a phone call and you open it, the app sends about one small photo per second from the back camera, with a label, to openclaw.risingcreek.ai while the scan screen is open, so our guide can see what the phone sees. It does this only after you open the link, only for as long as that link's key is valid, and it stops when you leave the scan screen or close the app. Without that link the app never sends live pictures. The photos are shown to the guide on the call and are not saved as part of your scan.

What the app does not collect

How scans are used

We use a scan to build the 3D model or measurements you asked for, to check the result, and to answer questions about the job it came from. We do not sell scans, share them for advertising, or use them to train AI models.

When data leaves your phone

Scans stay on your phone until you tap upload or share (live view, above, is the one exception). An upload sends one zip file straight from the phone to our storage on DigitalOcean Spaces over HTTPS. When an upload finishes, our server also sends a short alert to a Rising Creek staff member through Telegram with the scan name, its size and the device string. The zip holds the video, depth images, motion data and the details above. A scan you never upload is never sent to us.

Who can see it

Rising Creek staff who work on the model. Our storage provider (DigitalOcean) holds the files for us, and Telegram carries the alert text described above. We share a scan or the model made from it with the client or crew the job is for, and with no one else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep a scan while we work on the job and for the life of the project after it, so a model can be rebuilt or checked. We delete it sooner if you ask. Deleting the app deletes the scans stored on your phone. It does not delete scans you already uploaded. Upload records and alerts are kept in our logs and are removed on request along with the scan.

Your choices

You can delete any scan from the app. You can stop live view by closing the scan screen. To have us delete an uploaded scan, or to ask what we hold from your device, email support@treadconnection.ai with the scan name or the date. We answer within 30 days. You can turn off camera access for the app in iOS Settings, but the app cannot scan without it.

Security

Uploads use HTTPS and a signed link that expires after an hour. Stored files sit on access-restricted servers and only the people who operate the service can reach them. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay.

Children

Rising Creek Topo is a business tool for construction work. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
